Came as promised this morning to open a door in our wooden conservatory, that had been unusable for some years - and we had lost the key. David managed to get it open, and remove the complete locking mechanism, which proved to be obsolete, so irreparable. He managed to replace the seized lock with a new one of a different type. It now opens, shuts and locks very happily. Hats off to David, whose expertise, patience and equipment were all taxed to the full! The invoice was very reasonable, considering he had driven from York to Scarborough and the job had taken much longer than anticipated. Heartily recommended!!

I had a long standing issue with a door that had been fitted a couple of years ago, today the lock mechanism totally failed, I was dreading having to Google someone I didn't know and ride that roller coaster of dealing with someone new (this was a Sunday morning just to add to my dread) I looked through Google and tower gate had good reviews, I can see why, they were able to fit us in the same day, they looked over everything, only changed what needed to be changed, took time to explain what was damaged and why, they even took time to adjust the door so hopefully we don't have any issues going forward, the price was very fair, the standard of work was very good, highly recommended

I got locked out after my house sitter slipped my key through the mail slot. Whilst he was here, we asked about a couple of other lock problems and he fixed those too - one of which turned out to be quite complex. David ordered new parts and came back to finish next day. We called David at very short notice on a Sunday morning as we were locked out of our house unable to move our door handle and a key was snapped in the lock. David arrived within the hour and worked for hours on end finding out the problem. He stayed with us until we got in and had new locks fitted by him. David was so helpful fixing my composite door over FaceTime. He was brilliant at making sure he could actually help over a phone call first, before confirming if he would come round or not, as we were unsure whether it was the lock or the door frame. Upon assessing the door thoroughly over FaceTime David instructed me on how to fix the door successfully! He didn’t charge me anything at all even though he’d saved me a call out and fix cost, and was so knowledgeable and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else other than him for door and lock fixes. I have his number saved incase I ever need his help again.

Thank goodness for David. We arrived home from holiday (Sunday afternoon) to find we had lost our house key. One phone call and Towergate to the rescue.

After having a disaster with a new door lock. I just by chance spotted the van in queue of traffic, he gave me his number and I sent the details.
After finishing his previous job he communicated his ETA and arrived as expected. He got me back into my house which was a huge relief and gave some advice on how to prevent future problems.

Viewed the website and sent an enquiry via their page describing our job. As I thought it might be too much of a simple job after reading their range of services so didn't want to waste anyone's time (external locks on gates )However within minutes I received a phone call from David to ask about the job. After a discussion, it all sounded positive. I then chose to send some additional photos of the job just to double-check everything would be OK with what he had suggested. Again, David rang back to give us the reassurance that the job could be completed, no problem. Even better was that he was available to start this afternoon!!
David arrived at the agreed time , and throughout this visit, describing what he would be doing and asking us to check everything looked OK before he finished.
We were not expecting such fantastic service and are so happy with the end result. We highly recommend this company and would use it again if needed . Thank you for your quick response and delivery.

A truly wonderful service. In the ridiculous situation of my husband being stuck in the bathroom, not the lock but the handle mechanism. I phoned Towergate 7.30 am !! Then as promised John came to the rescue within half an hour, cannot thank him enough he was brilliant and promptly sorted it.
He was great and certainly service with smile.
We will be forever grateful

I feel like these guys saved my life. They went far beyond what they needed to do. Other companies couldn’t get to me for a few hours someone even interested. These guys actually came urgently as I required them. They were polite. Very efficient, fixed my back door within 25 minutes, I couldn’t get in or out of it so I was so grateful to them. I definitely would recommend them. They were very trustworthy

The best in the business - could not recommend enough! Professional work done with top skill, diligence, and efficiency.

Having locked myself out after 8pm, and with no help from other locksmiths in the York area, they responded very quickly and arrived within 20 minutes from the initial call. Although the problem was quite severe (the lock was damaged beyond repair), the locksmith was absolutely brilliant - he communicated very well and walked me through what needs to be done. After nearly two hours of intense work with many tools quite late into the night, in the end, he managed to crack the lock! The new replacement lock was installed immediatelly, and fitted to the old door/door frame without any major damage, which was very much appreciated.

Cannot thank you enough David - response to this emergency call and the service received could not be any better.

John and David were spot on today wife lost all her keys and they was here straight away took them about ten mins from start to finish not a scratch on the door and the lock works perfectly fine no stiffness. Will recommend to all friends as family. staying hopeful that someone may find the keys for the rest of the doors but if no luck within a few days we will be calling again we called 4/5 locksmiths before these and we found these men are the cheapest thanks again you’ve saved us a lot of stress and money!!!

I called when we were locked out after we lost our key whilst out on a dog walk with our 9 month old baby and family pet.
They communicated well with me and arrived after just 40 minutes.

Our door had so many different gadgets that were not very easy to pick to get back in. The very pleasant and helpful staff member tried every piece of equipment in his tool kit to try and get us in but due to our high security on our locks, the only option was to break the lock.

We had a spare key 50 miles away and rather than get the gent to break and replace the locks, we opted for this. However, if we wanted he was ready and raring to go to get us into our house.

We were really impressed with the service and would use them again (although we hope we don't have to, no offence!).
