An Introduction
Hello, my name is David and I’m the owner and operator of Towergate Locksmiths Limited.
I wanted to take this time and opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about our company.
Towergate Locksmiths has been operating for more than 5 years and I have been involved with locks for a lot longer than that. You might say it’s more of a hobby and a passion rather than just my job; in other words, I care about what I do.
Our area of operation is North Yorkshire and we are based in York. We also travel further afield and it’s not uncommon for us to be in Scarborough and Malton one day and Pocklington, Wetherby and Selby the next. In other words, we get around a bit, so be assured that wherever you are, we can get to you in quick time.
Our product range is extensive and we carry several hundred locks of the highest quality covering almost all lock solutions. We offer varying levels of security, so that our customers have a choice that works for them at a price that suits their budget; one of the things that were really important to us.
The reason that we do so much repeat and referral business is our customer reviews. We very proud to currently have over 750 – 5 star reviews. Please take a moment to check them out on our website, some of them are quite comical.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I absolutely would. I called David late afternoon, as my door refused to lock properly. He came to look at it promptly (without charging a call out fee) as he didn’t want me to feel unsafe in my own home. He was friendly, professional and explained what the problem was and his recommendations to fix it. All within hours of me calling him. He went out of his way to help and get the whole lock and mechanism replaced for me. Thank you David. Appreciate your kindness and expertise - I’ll certainly be pointing friends and family in your direction if ever they need a locksmith 😊
Arrived home after a shopping spree to the front door that wouldn't open and one of those 'Oh No!!' moments. When what I thought was the door handle that had broken I googled a locksmith then rang Towergate and spoke to Dave. He said he could help or at least, take a look after his current job. Dave arrived promptly and after investigation he managed to get the door open (so at least I could get in the house) and he knew straight away what the issue was.. AND.. he had the part.... Phew! 15mins later along with some good advice, the job was done. Friendly and knowledgeable though I can only apologise to his wife for his dedication to his trade as he promised to her no more jobs.. Thanks Dave

Absolutely brilliant service - came out in Easter Sunday as an emergency call out. Quick, professional and excellent. A quality craftsman, polite, on time and good value.
Very helpful, polite. Turned up when he said he would, fixed the problem and then cleaned everything down. He had us test it and make sure we were happy before leaving.
Speedy, good at his job, non-judgmental (I like that he didn't make me feel stupid for locking myself out). And very fairly priced. I'd highly recommend.

David the locksmith was extremely helpful. After I called to tell him my door wouldn’t lock, he came within 2 hours. He spoke through the new locks with me and after also fitting new locks at the back of the house, gave 15 keys included with the overall price.
